But if you also want to leave the Tara Nature Park where you are, we can organize a trip to the Sutjeska or Durmitor National Parks, which are located in our surroundings. The suggestions are limitless, for example: visit to the Perućica rainforest and Skakavac waterfall, climbing Maglić (2386 m), a walk around Lake Trnovačko or the “mountain eyes” – lakes of Durmitor and Zelengora, or Nevidio and Hrčavka canyoning.
We are not a hotel or a large resort. Here, mornings begin with the sound of birds and the light rising over the canyon. Days can be spent hiking through forest trails, discovering hidden viewpoints or rafting along the crystal-clear waters of the Tara River. And in the evening, when the mountains become quiet again, the cabins become a place to relax and simply enjoy the moment.
For us, Tara Canyon is more than a destination — it is a place where nature still sets the rhythm of life.
I’m not sure if I found this place or if it was mine, but my brother and my dear relatives and friends helped me. After my retirement I rolled up my sleeves and got to work, which I really enjoyed.
With the selfless help of relatives and neighbors in the surrounding area, it became a small retreat in the wilderness, created for travelers who want to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with nature.

Wildas Cabins were created from a simple idea — to share the beauty and peace of the Tara River Canyon with travelers who truly appreciate nature.
Surrounded by forests, mountains and the emerald waters of the Tara River, this place has always been special to us. The silence of the canyon, the fresh mountain air and the endless forest trails create a feeling that is difficult to describe but impossible to forget.
That is why the cabins were built using wood and stone, blending into the environment rather than standing apart from it. Every detail was designed to keep the connection with nature — from the views of the canyon cliffs to the peaceful atmosphere that surrounds the cabins.
We can also organize a tour of the nearby “Velenići” equestrian club (riding and zip line) or numerous hiking and cycling bespoke routes in the Tara Nature Park or take you to some of the viewpoints of the Tara Canyon.
In addition to transportation to the camp and meals at the Tara-Top restaurant, it is necessary to announce in advance any request for rafting or any of the outdoor activities, primarily to organize transportation and provide licensed guides.
