How to reach Wildas Cabins
If you are coming from Sarajevo or Trebinje, after crossing the Drina River at Brod na Drini (about 5 km from Foča), follow the signs for Tara Canyon, Plužine, Nikšić (Montenegro).
After 18 km from Brod na Drini (23 km from Foča), you will reach a signpost with multiple directions, including Tara River Canyon and your destination Wildas Cabins (Tara-Top).
Immediately after this sign, make a sharp left turn onto the road marked “Tara Canyon”. This road is not completely asphalted, it is partly a macadam road.
🚗 Step 1 – Keep Left
After 1.8 km, keep left following the signs for Brštenovica / Tara Canyon.
🚧 Step 2 – Park Entrance
At 3.4 km you will reach the entrance gate of “Tara Nature Park” (currently not in operation).
🌄 Step 3 – Viewpoint
At 11.3 km enjoy the “Stjenice” viewpoint over Tara Canyon.
🔀 Step 4 – Keep Left
At 13.3 km, keep left.
➡️ Step 5 – Keep Right
After 300 meters, keep right.
🏘️ Step 6 – Koljeno Village
At 16.2 km you will reach Koljeno village.
↪️ Step 7 – Sharp Turn
At 18.8 km, turn sharply right towards Tara-Top camp or drive 100 m further to safely turn around if needed.
⛰️ Step 8 – Final Section
Last 1 km is steep and winding (extra caution in rain).
